According to the US census bureau, the city OF AVENTURA has a total area of 9.1 km2 (3.5 mi2). of which 7.0 km2 (2.7 mi2) is land and 2.1 km2 (0.8 mi2) (23.08%) is water.
Aventura is a planned suburban city with its own goverment, police and transportation system. located at the north east end of Miami-Dade County starting in the south by 170th st, north to 214th st and from the bay to the railroad tracks.
aventura mall has become the most susccesful mall of the area and it continues to grow. close to it there are many condominiums built from the 70's and 80's to recently built. aventura has the lowest taxes of any municipality in dade county and has fantastic schools and soon to have a magnificient recreation center by the bay.
Aventura is known as the cit of excellence.
According to the U.S. Census estimates of 2007, the city had a population of 29,475

- Right at the End of North East Dade very close to Sunny Isles Beach, Hallandale Beach, Hollywood Beach and Fort Lauderdale. You can use Fort Lauderdale or Miami Airport, each one about 20 to 30 minutes away or go Theatre in the Archt Center in Miami or in Fort Lauderdale Theatre of the Perfroming Arts and soon also to the new Aventura Perfroming Center.
